Registration:

• Create PractiScore Account.
• Visit Blackstone Shooting Sports Club via PractiScore Website
  
• Register for upcoming match. Registration is available 7 days before each match.
• Wait for Approval.
• Select Squad 1 or Squad 2.

Rules:

Safety

• Firearms must always be handled in designated safe areas or under Range Officer supervision.
• Muzzles must remain pointed in a safe direction at all times. (180 Rule)
• Finger must stay outside the trigger guard while moving or reloading.
• Ensuring of a safe backstop to prevent damage and chance of ricochet.
• Any unsafe gun handling results in immediate disqualification.

Course of Fire

• Stages are dynamic and may require movement, use of cover, reloads, and engaging targets from multiple positions.
• Shooters must follow the written stage briefing exactly.
• Targets include cardboard silhouettes, each with defined scoring zones. (A,C,D)

Scoring

• USPSA uses hit factor scoring: points earned divided by time taken.
• Higher-value hits score more points but may take longer to achieve.
• Penalties apply for misses, no-shoot targets, and procedural errors.

Divisions & Equipment

• Competitors are grouped into divisions based on firearm type, modifications, optics, and magazine capacity.
• Ammunition power factor (Minor or Major) affects scoring values.
• Holsters, belts, and magazine placement must comply with division rules.

Penalties

• Procedural penalties for failing to follow stage requirements.
• Miss penalties for un-hit targets.
• Failure-to-engage penalties for skipped targets.

Range Commands

• RSO(s) will give standardized commands each run, from “Make Ready” to “If Clear, Hammer Down, Holster.”
• Shooters must wait for and comply with all Range Officer commands.

Mandatory Equipment Needed:

• Eye and Ear Protection
• Handgun appropriate for a USPSA Division (Production,  Carry Optics, Limited, Open, Single Stack)
• 3-5 Magazines (Minimum of 2, may cause issues during course)
• Holster and Belt, Holster must cover trigger guard. Competitors may compete from "Concealed".
• At least 1 Magazine Pouch/Holster, competitors typically have 2-4.
