The Truglo TG8504B3L is a compact crossbow scope with 4x magnification and a 32mm objective, offered in black with an illuminated BDC/rangefinder reticle. Its dual-color reticle glows red or green and can also be used in black with the illumination switched off. Eye relief is a generous 4-inch figure, and the fully-coated lenses are meant to deliver brightness, clarity and contrast. The optic is nitrogen gas-filled.

The scope is built on a 1-inch aluminum tube with an anodized black finish that is scratch-resistant and non-reflective matte. Adjustments are 1/4 MOA at 100 yd, and the field of view is 20.8' at 100 yd. The illuminated reticle runs on a 3 V CR2032 lithium battery, and the illuminated model ships with a TG988C battery. A set of Weaver-style rings is included for mounting.
