The Trijicon RMR HD is a 1x handgun red dot that pairs a 3.25 MOA dot with a selectable 55 MOA segmented ring, so you can run a single crisp dot or the larger ring depending on how you like to aim. Pineapple Ballistics coated this optic in Silver Cerakote over the standard factory unit, which changes the look while the regular RMR HD feature set stays intact. The housing is 7075-T6 forged aluminum and is waterproof to 66 ft. (20 m), and its shape is designed to send impact force away from the lens when the optic is dropped or bumped. Nine brightness settings and a forward-facing light sensor let the auto mode read the lighting at the target and adjust the reticle for you.

A top-loading CR2032 battery means you can change power without dismounting the optic, and Trijicon lists up to 3 years of battery life. Larger, more tactile buttons and adjusters with audible clicks give positive feedback when you wear gloves and let you zero without tools. The button lock-out mode secures the auto-brightness setting, which suits everyday carry. Because it shares the RMR footprint, it fits red-dot-ready pistols and existing RMR mounts, though no mount is included in the box.
