Product Details
The Stern Defense 006 9MM barrel is a stand-alone 16.10" barrel for builders putting together, or reconfiguring, a dedicated 9MM AR-15 pattern upper. Stern cuts its 9MM barrel throats with an extended free bore, giving longer-ogive bullets room to chamber fully instead of stalling against the rifling before the round is seated.
At 16.10", the barrel clears the 16" federal minimum for a rifle, so it can go on a stocked 9MM carbine build without NFA paperwork. Stern also sells this length in its own 9MM Classic upper, so the part fits naturally into a full-length pistol-caliber carbine project.
