The Rock Island M1600 22LR 18.25" delivers an AR-style rimfire experience in a compact, easy-handling package. Chambered in .22 Long Rifle and built on the M1600 semi-automatic platform, it features a fixed pistol grip stock, carry handle with integrated rear peep sight, and an A2-style front post for a familiar sight picture. Its 18.25" barrel and black parkerized finish create a durable, low-maintenance rifle suited to high-volume shooting.

This model is ideal for range practice, training new shooters, and small-game use where rimfire is appropriate. The 10-round detachable magazine keeps reloads simple, with optional factory 15-round magazines available on some listings. A suppressor-ready, threaded barrel and right-hand configuration make it a practical choice for shooters wanting an affordable AR-style trainer that mirrors centerfire ergonomics. Backed by Rock Island Armory’s reputation for value-focused firearms, the M1600 offers a straightforward, reliable rimfire platform.
