The Retay Aegis Vanguard package is the RA1522 .22LR pistol with an 8.5" barrel, and the rimfire chambering keeps ammunition costs down for training and recreational shooting. Retay drills the barrel with its Dead Straight Deep Bore process and finishes it in black chrome, a hard finish that resists corrosion. It runs as a semi-automatic, so you fire one round per trigger pull with less recoil and noise than you get from larger calibers. The Aegis Vanguard rifle optic is the sight option on this version, and flip-up front and rear sights are listed as well.

A thumb safety gives you a manual control to keep the pistol on safe until you are ready to shoot. The black polymer frame carries a foldable brace that folds out of the way when you are not shooting. The model is the RA1522 Aluminum MLOK Pistol, so the forend comes in an aluminum MLOK configuration. It comes with two 25-round magazines, so you can shoot through one and swap to the second.
