This Proof Research PXT barrel blank gives custom builders and gunsmiths a 22.00" .264 caliber carbon fiber barrel to chamber and fit for a 6.5mm bolt-action build. The Sendero Light contour and 1.20" shank diameter suit a lightweight hunting rifle or a trim precision rig, and the carbon fiber construction delivers a strong stiffness-to-weight ratio.

PXT, PROOF Exponential Twist, reworks the rifling geometry and twist progression with a much lower lead angle, easing the bullet into the rifling. Proof built it to lower engraving force and throat erosion and reduce felt torque, and reports a 30-100% increase in barrel life in controlled testing while holding Proof's accuracy standard. The 1:7.5 PXT twist suits the long, high-BC bullets favored in modern 6.5mm cartridges.
