The Proof Research Q Fix pre-fit barrel is a carbon fiber barrel chambered in 308 Win, made to upgrade your current rifle. It has a 20" barrel with a 10 twist rate, a configuration Proof lists in its Q Fix specs. Proof wraps the barrel in aerospace-grade, high-strength carbon fiber set in a proprietary matrix resin, making it up to 64% lighter than a traditional steel barrel of similar contour.

The barrel has a 5/8-24 muzzle thread, so it accepts muzzle devices cut to the same thread. It arrives chambered and includes the barrel extension, so it is set up for installation on your rifle. The carbon fiber construction also gives improved heat dissipation, which Proof says makes for cooler and longer-lasting barrels.
