The Proof Research PR15 PXT is an 18.00" carbon fiber AR-15 barrel chambered in .223 Wylde, so it runs both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO with match-level accuracy. The 18.00" length adds velocity over a carbine barrel for longer shots, carbon fiber keeps the front end lighter than a steel barrel of similar profile, and the 5/8-24 threaded muzzle accepts a brake or suppressor.

PXT, PROOF Exponential Twist, reworks the rifling geometry and twist progression with a much lower lead angle, so the bullet engages the rifling more gradually.
