The Proof Research PR15 PXT is a 16.00" carbon fiber AR-15 barrel chambered in .223 Wylde, the chamber that runs both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO with match-level accuracy. It arrives fully chambered and ready to install, with a mid-length gas system, .750 gas block journal and .082 gas port for a soft, reliable gas impulse, and a 5/8-24 threaded muzzle for a brake or suppressor.

PXT, PROOF Exponential Twist, reworks the rifling geometry and twist progression with a much lower lead angle, so the bullet engages the rifling more gradually. Proof engineered it to lower engraving force and throat erosion, cut felt torque for steadier follow-up shots, and extend barrel life while holding the accuracy standard expected from a Proof barrel. The 1:7 PXT twist handles the heavy match bullets .223 Wylde shooters favor.
