The PWS Enhanced Steel Body Buffer H4 is machined from 4140 steel with a fluted body and FNC LIFE HD surface treatment, built to tune bolt carrier velocity in an AR-15 carbine buffer system. The heavier H4 mass slows the carrier's rearward travel, taming an over-gassed setup and smoothing out the recoil impulse.
That makes it a natural fit for suppressed builds, where added back pressure drives harsh cycling and accelerated parts wear. The FNC LIFE HD treatment improves surface lubricity and cuts friction inside the receiver extension, and the buffer drops into a standard carbine buffer tube with no modification.
