The Mustang Armament Chesty Series, named in honor of LtGen Lewis "Chesty" Puller, is a hand-built duty-grade lineup assembled from premium components that work together as one complete fighting system. This 8" 5.56 NATO build is the compact end of that lineup, purpose-built for close quarters, vehicle work and suppressed shooting. A Distressed FDE Betsy Ross billet receiver set, a matching 7" billet handguard and a Maxim CQB brace keep the footprint short without giving up handling. It comes as a combination with the Exigent Defense Fireteam 556 flow-through suppressor and a full day and night package led by an EOTech EXPS2-2 holographic sight.

The build is based on a Betsy Ross billet receiver set in a rugged Distressed FDE finish with a matching 7" billet handguard. Despite the compact footprint it still delivers the reliability, fast handling and professional-grade performance the series is built around.

The barrel is an 8" Ballistic Advantage Modern Taper, HPT/MPI tested, running a pistol-length gas system with a premium gas block and a Plan B QD muzzle device that serves as the host for today's most popular suppressor mounting systems.

A DLC Enhanced HPT/MPI bolt carrier group works with a Radian Raptor SD gas-busting ambidextrous charging handle to reduce gas blowback and keep operation exceptionally smooth when shooting suppressed.

Fire control is the renowned Geissele SD3G trigger at 3.5 lb with a Radian Talon ambidextrous safety selector, producing an incredibly crisp break with an ultra-fast reset.

Premium enhancements include a Geissele magazine release, a Lambda Hex grip, Geissele enhanced takedown pins, a Geissele enhanced bolt catch, an Emissary Development hand stop, an Emissary Development foregrip, rail scales and a QD sling attachment.

The recoil system combines the Maxim CQB brace with a JP Silent Captured H2 buffer system, producing an exceptionally flat recoil impulse while keeping one of the shortest overall package lengths available.

The fighting package pairs an EOTech EXPS2-2 holographic sight and a 3X magnifier on a riser with a Holosun RAID 1000-lumen weapon light on a tapeswitch and a Holosun LS321R red visible laser, IR laser and IR illuminator, covering both day and night use.

Completing the combination is the Exigent Defense Fireteam 556 flow-through suppressor, mounted through the Plan B PUB QD system. The flow-through design is built for reduced back pressure, excellent flash suppression and minimal point-of-impact shift, so suppressed performance and weapon reliability both hold up through high-volume firing schedules.
