The Mustang Armament Chesty Series is the company's flagship duty-grade line, put together for professionals, defenders and enthusiasts who want uncompromising reliability out of every component. This 12.5" 5.56 NATO build wears a Troy Coyote Cerakote over a Betsy Ross-themed billet receiver set and a matching 11.5" billet handguard. Every part was picked so the platform performs equally well suppressed or unsuppressed, from the cold hammer forged barrel through the silent captured recoil assembly. Topping it is a full day and night fighting package headlined by an EOTech EXPS2-2 holographic weapon sight with a 3X magnifier on a riser.

The foundation is Mustang's Betsy Ross-themed billet receiver set in an attractive Troy Coyote Cerakote, matched to an 11.5" billet handguard in the same color. It is timeless American styling laid over modern engineering, on a chassis meant to be worked hard.

Barrel duty falls to Mustang Armament's proprietary 12.5" Cold Hammer Forged Duty Precision Taper profile, spiral fluted, HPT/MPI inspected and fed through a mid-length gas system. That proprietary profile brings outstanding durability, excellent balance and impressive accuracy while producing one of the smoothest recoil impulses available in a 12.5" fighting build.

Cycling is handled by a DLC Enhanced HPT/MPI bolt carrier group running against a lightened gas-busting ambidextrous charging handle, which holds gas blowback down while keeping operation exceptionally smooth and reliable under hard use.

Fire control is the proven Rise Armament RA-434 Performance trigger paired with the Rise 69-degree ambidextrous safety selector, for a crisp, consistent break with rapid follow-up capability.

Premium enhancements run throughout: a Battle Arms Development magazine release, a Driven Arms Co. performance grip, Next Level Armament enhanced receiver pins, a Radian enhanced bolt catch, an Emissary Development hand stop, rail scales, a grip heat shield and integrated QD sling attachment points.

Recoil is tuned around the SB Tactical SBA5 brace, an enhanced ratcheting castle nut and a JP Silent Captured Spring H2 system, which together reduce felt recoil and take the buffer spring noise out of the cycle. The build was engineered to perform with today's advanced low-back-pressure suppressors, including systems such as the Exigent Defense Fireteam 556 and the Irregular Design Group Hesychia SIX-H, though no suppressor is included here. Its balanced gas system and tuned recoil assembly keep function reliable, send less gas back to the shooter and make the platform exceptionally shootable.

The day and night package is led by the EOTech EXPS2-2 holographic weapon sight with a 3X magnifier on a riser, backed by a Streamlight 1,000-lumen weapon light on a remote tapeswitch and an SMS Trinity multi-laser system carrying a visible laser, an IR laser and an IR illuminator.

The series is named in honor of LtGen Lewis "Chesty" Puller, one of the most decorated Marines in American history and a fellow Mustang Marine, and every build in it is meant to embody the leadership, toughness and fighting spirit that defined his legacy.
