The Mossberg MAV SA Sporting is a shotgun chambered in 12 gauge, so you can run the 12 gauge shotshells you already know with it. It is a semi-automatic shotgun, which means the action cycles for you after each shot instead of needing a manual pump stroke. The Sporting configuration points the gun toward sport shooting rather than a stripped-down utility setup.

The furniture on this Mossberg is wood, which gives the shotgun a traditional look and a natural feel in your hands. Because the action is semi-automatic, you can keep the shotgun shouldered between shots instead of working a slide. Together, the 12 gauge chambering, semi-automatic operation and wood stock make up the MAV SA package from Mossberg.
