The Marlin 1895 Dark Series is a compact lever-action rifle chambered in 45-70 GOVT with a 16.17" barrel. That barrel is cold hammer-forged alloy steel with a 1:20" right-hand twist. It is threaded 11/16"-24 and wears a factory radial muzzle brake, with a thread protector included for running it bare or suppressed. The lever action feeds from a five-round tubular magazine.
A push-button cross-bolt safety handles the controls, and the sights are a fiber optic front with a tritium ring and an adjustable ghost ring rear. A receiver-mounted Picatinny rail takes an optic, while M-LOK slots on the aluminum handguard and the stock accept lights and other accessories. The stock is black nylon-reinforced polymer, supplied with a recoil pad and a cheek riser. The rifle carries a shop-applied Cerakote Burnt Bronze finish, set against the factory black polymer stock.
