The Magnum Research Desert Eagle is a gas-operated rotating bolt semiautomatic chambered in .50AE. Its 152 mm barrel has polygonal rifling with 6 lands and grooves, a right-hand twist of 1 turn in 19 and a .495 groove diameter. The pistol comes with a spare .44MAG barrel and magazine, so you can switch to a second cartridge on the same pistol.

The single action trigger has an approx. 4 lb pull, and the 70 mm trigger reach sets how far your finger sits from the grip. The barrel, frame and slide are carbon steel with a black oxide finish. A full Weaver style accessory rail gives you a place to mount accessories, and the fixed sights have a 215 mm sight radius. The pistol feeds from an 8-round magazine.
