The Luth-AR M4 Government Barrel is a 14.50" 5.56 NATO barrel for an AR-15 build, cut with a 1:7 twist that handles a wide range of bullet weights. It uses an M4 barrel extension, a .066-.067" gas port sized for a carbine-length gas system, and a threaded muzzle.

The barrel comes with the front sight base for a classic M4 profile; the front sight post, spring and detent are sold separately. The bore is not chrome lined, and the exterior wears a black manganese phosphate finish. On a rifle, a 14.50" barrel needs a permanently attached muzzle device to reach 16.00", or the rifle must be registered as a short barrel rifle.
