The Kastle Group Fortress ACRO-226 is an optic mount built on the Aimpoint ACRO footprint, so it fits Aimpoint ACRO optics. It carries the optic on a 2.26" optical centerline, which the maker says encourages a heads-up posture and quicker target acquisition. Kastle also notes it works with similar optics that share the ACRO footprint. A titanium K-Clamp mounting system is what attaches the optic to the mount.

The mount is machined from 7075-T651 aluminum at Kastle's own facility, which draws on over 80 years of aerospace and defense manufacturing experience. A Type III MIL SPEC hardcoat anodized finish covers the aluminum, and this version comes in clear. It is made in the U.S.A., start to finish. Kastle says the design draws on feedback from law enforcement professionals and competitive shooters and has been field tested in varied environments.
