The Glock 17 Gen 5 is a full-size, striker-fired, semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9MM and finished in Olive Drab Green. Its 4.49" barrel has slightly modified rifling and crown, which the maker says improves precision. The frame is polymer, and the Skydas Cerakote finish is an exclusive Olive Drab treatment.

The Gen 5 frame drops the finger grooves and takes interchangeable backstraps, while a flared magwell and a cutout at the front of the frame speed up reloads. Controls include a reversible, enlarged magazine catch and an ambidextrous slide stop lever that suits left- and right-handed shooters. The pistol has fixed sights and front serrations. It ships with 3 magazines, each holding 17 rounds.
