The Ed Brown Hardcore Magwell, BL 25 LPI Black is a one-piece mainspring housing and magwell designed to give your 1911 Government or Commander a clean, streamlined upgrade. Precision machined from solid steel bar stock, it features crisp 25 lines-per-inch checkering on the housing for a secure, controlled grip during reloads while maintaining a smooth, rounded profile that carries comfortably.

This magwell funnels magazines into the pistol for faster, more forgiving insertions, making it well suited for range use, competition, and dedicated training. Side scallops at the base provide extra finger clearance to strip a magazine if needed, and the radiused rear blends naturally with flat-bottom grips for a sleek, custom look. It is mainspring housing and magwell only, allowing your gunsmith to configure internals to match your preferred setup, backed by Ed Brown’s reputation for meticulous craftsmanship and durable steel parts.
