The Ed Brown 1911 Thumb Safety Machined Extended Carry Blue is a precision-machined safety upgrade for standard 1911 frames, built from bar stock steel to deliver consistent, long-term reliability. Its extended, carry-focused lever is carefully shaped and angled to keep the thumb from contacting the slide while offering a natural, positive surface for engagement and disengagement.

This single-side thumb safety is ideal for everyday carry and defensive-oriented 1911 setups where secure operation and smooth handling matter. The slim 0.154-inch profile helps the pistol conceal cleanly while still providing confident control at the range or during training. Backed by Ed Brown’s reputation for meticulous craftsmanship and thoughtful design, it offers a refined, ergonomic upgrade for discerning 1911 owners.
