The Doubletap 357 Sig Controlled Expansion 147gr JHP 20/Box is purpose-built handgun ammunition designed to deliver consistent performance with a heavy-for-caliber bullet. Each round features a 147 grain jacketed hollow point engineered for controlled expansion, giving shooters reliable terminal behavior in a proven 357 Sig loading. The factory-rated velocity of 1250 feet per second from a 4 inch barrel provides a balance of energy and manageable recoil for serious use.

This load is well suited for defensive carry in compatible 357 Sig pistols as well as regular training and range work for shooters who prefer practicing with the same bullet weight they rely on. The combination of controlled expansion design, quality brass cases, and consistent velocity makes it a practical choice for those who value predictable performance over flash. Backed by Doubletap’s reputation for carefully tuned handgun ammunition, this cartridge offers a straightforward, dependable option for modern 357 Sig shooters.
