The CVA Wolf Northwest is a .50 caliber inline muzzleloader built as a break-action single shot with a 24" barrel. The barrel is 416 stainless steel with a 1:28 twist, so it resists corrosion instead of being blued carbon steel. The Northwest breech plug swaps the closed 209 breech for an exposed musket cap ignition. CVA's QRBP quick-release breech plug comes out with just a twist of the fingers, even after 20 or more shots, so you can pull it for cleaning without tools.
The breech opens with a touch of the breeching button in front of the trigger guard, and a hammer block safety is built in. The synthetic stock is black and ambidextrous, with an adjustable length of pull of 13-14" (listed with 1 spacer), so it fits right- and left-handed shooters of different sizes. A CrushZone recoil pad sits at the shoulder, and DuraSight fiber optic sights give you open sights that are easy to pick up. A solid aluminum PalmSaver ramrod is standard equipment, and the finish pairs stainless steel with black.
