The Browning BLR Lightweight ’81 Stainless Takedown Rifle .308 Win pairs classic lever-action styling with modern materials for a dependable hunting companion. Its laminated gray hardwood stock, satin nickel receiver, and matte stainless barrel work together to reduce glare while standing up to harsh weather in the field. The detachable box magazine and smooth rack-and-pinion lever action allow the use of modern .308 Winchester loads with pointed bullets, giving this rifle excellent reach and accuracy.

This takedown variant quickly separates into two compact sections with a simple finger lever, making it easy to stow in a pack or duffel for backcountry hunts or travel. The barrel is factory drilled and tapped for a forward-mounted scout-style optic, and the TRUGLO/Marbles fiber-optic front sight with adjustable rear sight offers a bright, precise aiming point in low light. With its 20" barrel, 4-round capacity, and thoughtful ergonomics, the BLR Lightweight ’81 Stainless Takedown is well suited for big-game hunting and general range use, reflecting Browning’s long-standing reputation for practical design and refined craftsmanship.
