The Benelli M2-G1 Tactical is a semi-auto 12 gauge with an 18.50" barrel that has a modified choke and takes 2-3/4" and 3" shells. It runs on the Rear Piston Operated (R.P.O.) gas system, which places dual short-stroke pistons near the chamber. The recoil spring is isolated from carbon, so the action runs cleaner and needs less maintenance. The magazine tube holds 7 rounds, and a beveled loading port speeds up reloads.

Ghost-ring sights and enlarged controls come standard, and the shotgun carries a 1913 Picatinny optic mount.
