The Ares G2 UHD is a full-size spotting scope with a 20-60x zoom range and an 85 mm objective lens. Extra-low dispersion glass is paired with an apochromatic lens system, which adds an optical element to bring refracting colors to a single focus point for better contrast, sharpness and color definition. The lenses are advanced fully multi-coated, with an ESP dielectric coating and BAK4 prisms, while the exterior glass carries an XPL protective coating against dirt, oil and scratches.

The chassis is aluminum alloy, and the scope is waterproof and argon purged. A rotating ring and a twist-up eyecup handle adjustments, with eye relief of 19.5-18 mm and an exit pupil of 4.2-1.4 mm across the zoom range. Field of view measures 99-47 ft at 1000 yards, and close focus is 39.4 ft. The body is finished in a gray-green two-tone with rubber armor panels and a tripod foot, and the scope is tripod adaptable.
