3 REASONS YOU’LL LOVE GROUP FIREARM LESSONS

Find out why group firearm lessons have been increasing in popularity over the past few years.

Taking firearm lessons can be beneficial for people of all experience levels and interests. Whether you are new to handling guns or have many years of experience, taking lessons can improve your accuracy and confidence when using different types of firearms. When it comes to group activities, firearm lessons are a fun way to spend time with friends and family and learn or advance your shooting skills.

Group firearm lessons have been increasing in popularity over the past few years. People new to shooting and firearm enthusiasts alike have started taking group firearm lessons as a fun activity. When booking a group instruction, your Blackstone instructor can create a custom lesson depending on your skill level and prior firearm knowledge.

Learn Firearm Safety

Safety is the number one reason to book a firearm session. Taking a firearm lesson will teach you how to properly and safely handle a firearm. After learning the basic safety rules for treating, handling, and caring for your firearm, you will become more confident in your shooting skills and have more fun!

4 Basic Gun Safety Rules

Be Aware Of The Muzzle At All Times

When picking up or holding a firearm, it is always important to point the muzzle in a safe direction at all times. This is true even when the firearm is not loaded.

Always Treat Firearms As If They Are Loaded

Knowing when your firearm is loaded and unloaded is essential. When it comes to handling, showing, storing, and more, ALWAYS assume it is loaded.

Keep Your Finger Off Of The Trigger

Some firearms have an external safety, but the best way to ensure the safety of everyone around you is to make sure that your finger stays away from the trigger until you are aiming at your target and ready to fire.

Know Your Target

Identify your target and be aware of everything beyond it. This will help ensure that you do not take the risk of hitting something unwanted.

Make It Social

When planning a group activity, going to the shooting range might not be the first thing that comes to mind. However, booking a lane at Blackstone could be an exciting new activity that allows you to spend time with friends and family, or it could even be a team-building activity. Learn proper gun handling techniques, improve your skills, even compete with others, all while enjoying the company of your group. Blackstone offers group training and private events, following the growing trend to host birthday parties, team-building events, bachelor/bachelorette parties, or a just “night out” with friends at the shooting range.

When going to the shooting range for a group firearm lesson, depending on the firearms that your group members own or rent, you will have a variety of firearms available to shoot—expanding your knowledge and adding to the fun.

Blackstone also offers group firearm lessons for people on the same skill levels. It is a great way to interact with like-minded people who also enjoy the sport of shooting.

Learn Self Defense As a Group

Many gun owners say that the main reason for owning a firearm is for self-defense. Whether you own a gun for sport shooting or own a firearm for self-defense purposes, it is important to be knowledgeable and comfortable with the firearm before handling or shooting. Taking lessons from one of our firearm instructors will create a safe space for you and your group members to learn the ins and outs of caring for and handling a firearm while learning tactical skills with the firearm of your choice. Group firearm lessons can help you learn how to react in stressful situations if you ever find yourself in need of self-defense. When your family or friends get together for a group firearm lesson, you get to have fun while learning valuable, and potentially life-saving skills by learning the proper way to keep yourself safe inside and outside of the shooting range.
